Tottenham have agreed a deal for Wales centre back Joe Rodon
to join Leeds United on a season-long loan after Liam Cooper was ruled out for
eight weeks.
The Welshman, 25, has failed to nail down a starting spot at
Spurs since joining from Swansea in 2020 and spent last season on loan at
Rennes.
He was part of the Wales squad who qualified for the World
Cup for the first time since 1958 and played in Qatar.
Daniel Farke's side have done well to get a body through the
door so soon after captain Cooper's injury.
The 31-year-old stalwart was stretchered off during Leeds'
Championship return against Cardiff and will be out for up to eight weeks with
a foot injury.
Since being relegated from the Premier League, the Whites
have bolstered their defensive fortifications with goalkeeper Karl Darlow from
Newcastle, right-back Sam Byram from Norwich, and defensive midfielder Ethan
Ampadu from Chelsea.
No Premier League side shipped more than their 78 conceded
goals last campaign.
