Daniel Farke explains reason for Luis Sinisterra absence in Leeds defeat at Birmingham - Leeds United News 12/8/23

Daniel Farke has refused to elaborate on why Luis Sinisterra
did not feature in Leeds United’s defeat at Birmingham City.
Farke was speaking in his post-match press conference
following the game in the West Midlands, where he was quizzed on why Sinisterra
did not feature.
Rumours were flying around on social media pre-match that
Sinisterra had also refused to play like Wilfried Gnonto, who both started last
weekend’s draw with Cardiff City.
Farke also claimed in mid-week that Sinisterra had taken a
knock to his knee in the game against the Bluebirds, but did come off the bench
for the final 10 minutes against Shrewsbury Town.
In the absence of Sinisterra, Gnonto and Crysencio
Summerville, Leeds looked extremely lightweight in attack and it certainly told
as they were beaten 1-0 at St Andrews.
Farke, though, remained coy on the situation surrounding
Sinisterra’s absence and believes that now is not the right time to speak about
it.
He said: “He was not available. There will be a time when we
talk about this situation. I don’t explain more.”
Reading between the lines, it certainly does feel like
Sinisterra has also refused to play despite speculation surrounding a move
having been quiet.
If Sinisterra was injured, Farke would’ve said as much and
Leeds really are now in a difficult position with so many players injured and
now ruling themselves out.
The final three weeks of the window are going to have to be
huge and regardless of how good they are, Sinisterra and Gnonto need to be
sold.
