Jack Harrison 'having medical' at Everton ahead of loan move - Leeds Live 13/8/23
The Whites winger has missed the start of the season through injury
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison is having a medical at
Everton ahead of a loan move to Goodison Park. That's according to The Athletic
who say the Toffees have activated a clause in the 26-year-old's contract
following relegation from the Premier League.
Harrison is closing in on a season-long loan move to Sean
Dyche's side, which could turn into a permanent move. Harrison is said to have
agreed personal terms with the Premier League side.
The Whites winger was always top of the Toffees transfer
wishlist this summer, alongside former Leeds forward Rodrigo, who opted for a
move to Qatari side Al Rayyan. Arnaut Danjuma, who has signed on a season-long
loan from Villareal was also a priority target.
The Toffees have also completed the signing of Youssef Chermiti
from Sporting Lisbon in a £15million deal - with Harrison next on the agenda.
Aston Villa were also reportedly keen on a move for Harrison
this summer, but the likelihood of first-team opportunities at Villa Park were
thought to be a rarity. Compare that to Goodison Park and Harrison views a move
to Everton as a more realistic destination for regular football.
Harrison's proposed departure would take the number of loan
departures this summer up to seven, with Robin Koch, Rasmus Kristensen, Diego
Llorente, Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca all leaving the club on short-term
deals. Wilfried Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams have all been tipped to
leave the club before the transfer window slams shut.
