Tyler Adams release clause dispute now emerges at Leeds United as behind-the-scenes mess escalates - MOT Leeds News 17/8/23

Bournemouth are confident the release clause to sign Leeds
United midfielder Tyler Adams remains active, according to the Athletic.
Adam Leventhal wrote on Thursday (17 August) that the
Cherries made a £20million bid for the United States international on Monday,
which they believe met the deadline for his time-limited release clause
following Leeds’ relegation last season.
However, he added that Leeds are of the opinion the clause
was in fact not triggered and has now expired, leading to an impasse.
The report adds that as it stands there has been no
agreement on personal terms between Premier League Bournemouth and Adams.
Chelsea were previously heavily linked to Adams’ signature,
but that move broke down (Daily Mail, 11 August) with the Blues consequently
bringing in Moises Caicedo and agreeing a deal for Romeo Lavia.
Sort this mess out ASAP!
Just when it looked like Leeds United and their woes with
relegation release clauses was over, more confusion reigns in a transfer window
to forget for the Whites.
Adams has been linked with an exit pretty much all the way
through the transfer window and Chelsea were heavy favourites to sign the
24-year-old, who only joined Leeds from RB Leipzig in July 2022.
However, a move to the Blues ultimately failed to
materialise and Bournemouth and Brighton were among the teams who were reported
to hold an interest in the influential midfielder.
Daniel Farke assured that clauses for Adams and winger Luis
Sinisterra had expired when speaking to the media on Wednesday (16 July), and
it looked as though the power was finally back in the hands of Leeds.
