Harrogate Town have signed Leeds United right back Lewis Turner as they prepare for pre-season ahead of the new Conference North season.
Turner, 21, spent time on loan at the CNG Stadium during the 2012-13 season, but was unable to play a game before returning to his parent club.
Turner will be hoping to help Town improve on their ninth placed finish in Conference North last season and push for promotion in the new campaign.
He said: “I believe that it is a club on the up and I am looking forward to being part of a successful team this campaign.
“The manager and the chairman seem very driven and ambitious and I can’t wait to get started.”
The right back, who can also play across the back line or up in midfield, spent last year on a season-long loan with Chester FC scoring twice.
Despite the Blues finishing in the relegation zone, Turner won the club’s Player of the Year and picked up the fans’ and players’ Player of the Year awards with his impressive performances.
Manager Simon Weaver said: “Lewis excelled last season. He is young, talented and has a very professional outlook.
“We are very pleased that we now have him on board.”
Excluding loan spells, Turner has spent his entire career at Leeds representing the club at all levels, including the reserve team.
