Fulham are poised to make an improved £6million bid for Leeds United striker Ross McCormack.
They previously had a £5m bid rejected on Monday.
Having been relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season, the West London club are hoping to bring in some fresh blood in hope of escape from the Championship at the first time of asking.
Fulham's strikers struggled badly last season, with Dimitar Berbatov leaving in January, and £12million signing Kostas Mitroglou failing to score after being signed as his replacement.
They have now targeted the Scottish international who scored 28 goals in 43 Championship games for Leeds United.
