Leeds United winding-up order dismissed
Vital Leeds 23/6/14
Leeds United have had the winding-up order served against them by Sports Capital dismissed by the High Court.
Leeds were served with a winding up order by Sports Capital in May as they tried to reclaim a £950,000 loan made by them to the club after they failed to make a payment.
The decision saw the clubs bank account frozen, that saw them fail to pay the players wages for a second time in three months. The club were ordered to repay the money at a High Court ruling on June 10th, giving them until today to repay the loan.
It is believed that Leeds repaid the loan last week allowing the High Court to dismiss the case today.
The club's bank account can now been unfrozen, allowing the players to receive their wages as well as building a squad ahead of the new season.
