Whites lay groundwork for new manager - Transfer Tavern 26/10/22
By Charlie Smith
Leeds United have drawn up a shortlist of potential
replacements for Jesse Marsch, Football Insider report.
The Whites are currently in the Premier League relegation
zone after another defeat on the weekend at home to Fulham. Marsch’s side lost
3-2 at Elland Road to leave them without a win in eight top-flight games.
The Leeds board look set to back Marsch again this weekend
as he takes his side to Liverpool, however, it looks as if talks have begun
over a possible replacement.
FI reporter Wayne Veysey shared a story on Tuesday morning
regarding Leeds and a possible new manager. He revealed that the Whites ‘are
putting out early feelers as they lay the groundwork for appointing a new
manager’.
The reporter added that ‘Leeds are paving the way behind the
scenes for a potential manager change by compiling a shortlist of potential
replacements’.
On paper, you’d expect Leeds to return from Anfield this
weekend without a win, which would make it nine league games without a victory.
A crucial home fixture against Bournemouth will be next, so
it will be interesting to see the stance from Andrea Radrizzani, the 49ers
Enterprises and Victor Orta, should Leeds lose to Jurgen Klopp’s side this
weekend.
The World Cup break is also looming, which could be a factor
in the club’s decision regarding Marsch, who is failing to get his side going
at this moment in time.
