BRENDEN AARONSON: WE HAVE TO GET POINTS - Leedsunited.com 20/10/22
Brenden Aaronson gave his thoughts to the media after playing 90 minutes in the loss to Leicester City, at the King Power Stadium.
Leeds were two goals down at half-time and were unable to
turn around the deficit from there.
Aaronson summarised the match from his view, after full
time.
He said: “It’s tough right now, we’re in a tough stretch.
“At the end of the day, we have to get points. It’s about
the performances, yeah, they’ve been okay, but at the end of the day it’s about
points and we’re not getting the final goal.
“Whatever it is, we’re struggling in that sense right now,
but we have to look on to Fulham and that’s the season, it’s up and down and we
have to keep our heads straight and we’ll be fine.
“We started well I thought. We got some fouls and some
set-pieces and it was just tough taking it, two shots, two goals, but that’s
our problem right now.
“It’s a team game, we all have each others back and we can
do better offensively, I think we need to score and get the final goal. It’s up
to us right now, we need to play better.
“All I can do is look forward, the game is over, it is past
and what I can do now is look on to Fulham.
“That’s the kind of person I am, and I am sure we all are, we have got to look forward. We’ll stick together, that’s this club and that’s what we do best.”
Speaking after full-time, Jesse Marsch gave his thoughts on
the game.
He said: “I think we dug ourselves a hole.
“The first one is a half chance, then an own goal. Then it’s
their next chance and it’s 2-0.
“We did well in moments in the game too, but right now in
both boxes we’re not helping ourselves an we have to find a way to stop the
bleeding, that’s the way it feels right now.
“When you don’t get the results, the confidence is a little
bit lower. We need to find goals.
“What disappointed me the most, is that almost their first
time down the pitch, they scored.
“We actually had a good start and were in control of the
match, but we lose the ball in the middle and they get an own-goal, then the
match gets harder.
“We’ve got to find a way to get some wins and right now,
away from home, we haven’t been great.
“So, we’ve got to go back to Elland Road, it’s a big, big
match on Sunday and we have to be ready for it."
