Phil Hay has reported on The Athletic that Angus Kinnear is now one of four board members at Leeds United and reports directly to chairman Paraag Marathe – the only one that will be situated in the UK.

It has taken until now for Companies House to publish the report regarding the ownership picture at Leeds. The report states that Marathe will be chairman of the club, but will be working from the US.

Other board members include Rudy Cline-Thomas – one of the largest investors in the 49ers. He has been confirmed as Vice President to Marathe. Peter Lowy is the third of four, on the board since 2021.

Then, Kinnear. He remains in his role as Chief Executive – but the only one of the four who will remain in the UK to oversee the running of the club. He will directly report to Marathe the day-to-day operations.

So, finally, the boardroom has been confirmed at Elland Road. Kinnear continues to be an open book with Leeds fans and while he does garner criticism, it is good to see a familiar face remains at Leeds.

Andrea Radrizzani and his associates are now confirmed as having nothing to do with the club – which will come as a welcome relief to Leeds supporters. Now, Leeds can look forward and work on a new era.

The Whites are next in action this weekend – as they travel south to face Daniel Farke’s old side Norwich City. The Canaries are in solid form and it will take Leeds at their best to come away with three points.
