49ers Enterprises finally gets the Radrizzani documents it’s been waiting for on Leeds United — Leeds Live 20/10/23
Companies House has published documents for Elland Road Limited which confirm the end of Andrea Radrizzani's association with Leeds United and its stadium
Any lingering doubts about Elland Road’s ownership and
Andrea Radrizzani’s lasting influence have been eradicated by fresh documents
published today. Companies House has confirmed the termination of Radrizzani’s
appointment as a director with Elland Road Limited, the stadium’s owner.
Since a deal was brokered on June 9 for the sale of the
Italian’s controlling stake at Leeds United to 49ers Enterprises, it has only
been a matter of time before the paperwork would materialise. In the space of
eight days, the record has been updated to officially confirm Radrizzani’s exit
from the club and stadium.
Accounts for Elland Road Limited were published earlier this
month and suggested Radrizzani was still in charge of stadium matters, at least
administratively. That posed some questions for supporters, but the paperwork
has now confirmed the 49ers takeover.
The filings on Companies House confirm the satisfaction of
the charge the American group had registered against the ground on December 31,
2020. That was a document which protected Enterprises against anything
Radrizzani could have done without their knowledge.
Radrizzani confidant Massimo Marinelli has also been removed
as a director of the Elland Road group, just as he was removed from Leeds
United Football Club Limited last week. Whites chairman Paraag Marathe has
joined 49ers colleague Collin Meador and United chief executive Angus Kinnear
as a director at Elland Road Limited.
Meanwhile, Jed York, chief executive officer at San
Francisco 49ers, has been named as a person with significant control. The
documents draw a line under the Radrizzani era for good.
