Official: 49ers confirm major Leeds United handover as departure is registered with Companies House – Leeds All Over 13/10/23

Leeds United have officially registered documentation to see
Andrea Radrizzani step down as the club’s chairman, while Rudy Cline-Thomas has
joined.
Relegation from the Premier League was always going to bring
major change at Elland Road, from the playing staff right all the way up to the
ownership structure.
The first thing that needed to be addressed was the 49ers
proposed takeover of the club, as Andrea Radrizzani did his best job of burning
bridges when the Whites were consigned to the second tier.
A completed takeover by the 49ers came in the summer months,
ending Radrizzani’s time at an Elland Road that he was still trying to use as
his own pawn for financial muscle in Sampdoria.
Now, it has been shared by financial expert Kieran Maguire
on social media that Leeds have now confirmed to Companies House that the
Italian has ceased to be the chairman at the club:
Also leaving along with Radrizzani are directors Sandro
Mencucci and Massimo Marinelli, while Rudy Cline-Thomas has officially joined
as a director.
Very little is likely to change in the day-to-day, just that
the documentation has been updated to reflect what has happened over the summer
at Elland Road.
The 49ers have clearly already been working
behind-the-scenes to ensure Daniel Farke has the tools necessary to make this
club thrive again.
With more confirmation, you would expect that there is
nothing standing in the way of the figures at the top of the club starting to
implement their long-term plans.
The 49ers have meant business so far despite being truly
hamstrung by Radrizzani and the previous regime by the decisions made with contracts.
That looks to be a situation that has been left behind now,
so we can look ahead to a hopefully much more ambitious future with the 49ers
in charge.
They’ve shown their ambition already this season but
consistency is going to be key going forward.
