Daniel Farke declares his Leeds United future intent with Whites must over most valuable asset — YEP 25/10/23

Daniel Farke has issued a strong message concerning Leeds United’s most valuable asset with a Whites must and his own future intent.

Farke is now 16 weeks into his reign as Whites manager and the German boss will take in his 15th game at the helm in tonight’s Championship clash at Stoke City (kick-off 8pm). Farke has already steered Leeds to seven victories in league and cup, guiding his team to third place in the table and quickly building a strong rapport with the club’s fanbase.

Those fans, says Farke, are ultimately his club’s “most important value”, the Whites boss issuing a passionate message about both United’s supporters along with his own happiness and future intent ahead of tonight’s visit to Stoke.

Asked how much he was enjoying his role in the Elland Road hotseat, Farke told the YEP: “I’m unbelievably grateful and more than happy, more than I can really say to be allowed to work in this responsible role for this massive club with definitely one of the best - if not the best - supporters in the whole country.

"This club is really special and unique, demanding at times, and also a bit complicated to lead but this is exactly what you're looking for as a coach and I have met already so many great people here in the club, who are connected with this club, who love this club.

"We have an unbelievable fanbase in our home games and our away games - I think it’s one of our biggest skills and values that we have at the club and we have to be careful with it, we have to value this, we have to know that this is priceless for us and this is our most important value.

"This club and our supporters are more important than any player, than any manager, than any board member, whatever - this is what this club is all about and to be allowed to help a bit also in this responsible role is a great honour and I will be always grateful.

"In this moment you are also quite humble and you feel the responsibility and I want to repay the trust and also help to create a good future for this club, this is all my focus is on. I’m a happy man at the moment."
