Leeds United squad revealed for Oxford United as Daniel Farke makes Daniel James decision — Leeds Live 18/4/25
A look at the options Daniel Farke has at his disposal for tonight's clash
Leeds United kick off their Easter programme with a trip to
relegation-threatened Oxford United tonight, kick-off 8pm. The lead in the
Championship could change hands again as title rivals Burnley play Watford
before the Whites go head-to-head with the U's under the lights at the Kassam
Stadium.
The focus for United is building on back-to-back wins over
Middlesbrough and Preston North End. Three points at Oxford would be another
giant step towards securing a Premier League return.
Boss Daniel Farke indicated at his pre-match press
conference that star man Daniel James could be involved against Oxford. The
talismanic winger missed the North End clash due to a hamstring injury. Farke
made it clear that he expects James to play some part in the Easter weekend.
Given the quick turnaround with Stoke City due at Elland Road on Monday, there
is no need for Farke to rush James back into the first-team fold. Farke has
plenty of options out wide, including Wilfried Gnonto, Manor Solomon, Largie
Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt.
"With Daniel James, we will definitely have him
available for the Monday game," said Farke. "If he is already able to
play a part in the game on Good Friday at Oxford, (it will be) a late
decision."
Pascal Struijk (foot), Joe Rothwell (calf) and Sam Chambers
(glandular fever) remain unavailable for selection as the Whites look to extend
their gap in the automatic promotion spots. The likelihood is Farke will name
an unchanged starting line-up for United's penultimate away fixture.
