Daniel Farke: It’s a massive win at this stage of the season — Leedsunited.com 19/4/25
Boss gives his thoughts to the media after win at Oxford United.
Leeds United secured a big three points away at Oxford
United on Good Friday, needing just the one goal to win at the Kassam Stadium.
The Whites went ahead in the first half after Manor Solomon
finished off a superb team move, before the team then showed defensive
resilience to make it back-to-back clean sheets on the road.
Speaking after the match, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to
the media.
He said: “It’s a massive win at this stage of the season, a
clean sheet win here away at Oxford, who are also fighting for each and every
point against relegation.
“Very happy because we played against a really good Oxford
side, who in the last home games, especially were there with clean sheet wins,
so you don't create many chances against them.
“I think we had good control over the game already in the
first half and a fantastic team goal with the perfect move, that Manor just had
to pass the ball into the goal.
“It's always the same, if you don't score the second goal,
and you miss a few chances, then you have to show steel and resilience and good
defensive behaviour.
“This is what we've done in a top-class way today. Pretty
hard fought, but I would also say well-deserved win and spirited win.
“And these types of wins with a clean sheet are the best
type of wins, especially at this stage of the season. So yes, a massive three
points for us.”
