Leeds United promotion-related add-ons revealed — Leeds All Over 22/4/25

Leeds United have secured their promotion back to the
Premier League with a resounding 6-0 win over Stoke City, while Sheffield
United were beaten at Burnley to see the Clarets up too.
A home clash with Stoke City brought nerves from the Leeds
fanbase, justifiably so given the pressure on the game and how Leeds have
historically fared in vital games.
However, it became clear almost instantly that Leeds had
nothing to worry about as they raced into a five-goal lead by half-time, making
it 6-0 in the second half.

United's new Elland Road reveal
Leeds’ promotion back to the Premier League comes with the
obvious financial boost of top flight revenue, but also comes with the 49ers
shelling out a touch more money in performance-related add-ons.
Here, we look at the transfers Leeds made that are likely to
have triggered add-ons following promotion, based on previous reports…
Joel Piroe – £10.5m up to £16million
Joel Piroe was the hero of Easter Monday as he fired in a
sensational four goals in the first half to move onto 19 goals for the
campaign, ending his goal drought and getting one hand on the golden boot in
the process.
He joined Leeds in 2023 from Swansea City for a reported
£10.5million fee up front, which is due to rise to £16million if the add-ons
are triggered – per The Athletic.
The details of those add-ons and the requirements to trigger
them aren’t known, but given that Piroe has netted 33 goals and nine assists
since joining, while now achieving promotion, it’s a fair assumption that most
of the £5.5million has been activated.
Ethan Ampadu – £7million up to £10million
Ethan Ampadu was Leeds’ first signing following relegation
as he made the eye-catching move from Chelsea to Elland Road, and became an
instant favourite regardless of whether he’s in central midfield or at
centre-back.
Leeds paid an initial £7million for the club captain,
according to the London Evening Standard, which is claimed to rise up to
£10million with add-ons.
Again, the details of this fee aren’t public, but promotion
as captain is likely to see Chelsea pocket a potential £3million extra.
Jayden Bogle – £5million up to £7million
Jayden Bogle’s form for Leeds this season has been
exceptional, and his arrival from Sheffield United not only drastically
improved and balanced the Whites in and out of possession, but also
significantly weakened a direct rival.
A £5million up front fee represents a bargain, but The Star
reported at the time that bonuses could take the deal to £7million.
It’s safe to say Leeds would gladly dish out an extra
£2million to the Blades after pipping them to promotion.
Isaac Schmidt – £2.5million up to £4.6million
Leeds fans haven’t seen enough of Isaac Schmidt this season,
but his cameos off the bench in April have shown that Farke definitely has a
talented player on his hands.
He joined from St Gallen for a reported £2.5million up front
fee, with Swiss outlet Blick claiming that promotion to the Premier League
would elevate the fee up to £4.6million – meaning a further £2.1million to be
dished out.
Largie Ramazani – Contrasting reports of £10million total,
or £5.9million up to £9.27million
Largie Ramazani won’t be happy with his playing time this
season either, but he didn’t seem to care when celebrating promotion in the
Bremner Suite – in charge of EFL’s media on the evening.
His arrival from Almeria brought two contrasting reports,
with local claims from the YEP that £10million was the fee Leeds paid to the
Spanish second tier club.
Meanwhile, Sacha Tavolieri shared at the time that Leeds
paid £5.9million up front with £3.37million in performance-related add-ons
taking the fee up to £9.27million.
Total potential promotion add-ons: £15.97million
