For Leeds United, there may be a few irons in the transfer
fire ahead of the summer. Indeed, Daniel Farke may have the feelers about over
deals for his loan stars.
Leeds United haven’t relied too heavily on the loan market
this season. Currently, they have Manor Solomon and Joe Rothwell on loan from
Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth respectively, but what a couple of signings
they’ve proved to be.
Solomon has become a really integral player in recent weeks.
He’s discovered his scoring touch with six goals and six assists to his name,
having featured 24 times in the Championship so far this season.
Rothwell meanwhile is still waiting for his first goal at
Leeds, having featured 28 times in the league so far and boasting two assists
to his name.
Both have become fan favourites at Elland Road. Though it’s
Solomon who’s really shining right now: he’s often the bright spark for Daniel
Farke’s side and many are wondering if he’ll sign permanently in the summer.
Spurs’ stance on selling Leeds United loan star Manor
Solomon revealed
Speaking recently, Solomon suggested he wants to stay at
Leeds United beyond this season. He said: “In my mind, I want to get back to
the Premier League where I belong. That is my goal. I understood that the best
way to get back to myself and get back to the Premier League is to go to
Leeds.”
Now, TeamTalk have revealed that Spurs could be open to
offers for the 25-year-old Israeli during the summer. At the same time,
however, Spurs sources are ‘keen to stress that no firm decision on the player
has yet been reached’.
Spurs signed Solomon on a free transfer from Shakhtar
Donetsk in 2023, but the 41-cap Israel international has featured just five
times in the Premier League for Tottenham since.
One Leeds United player could dictate Manor Solomon’s future
Speaking to Leeds United News recently, transfer expert
Graeme Bailey gave has verdict on Solomon possibly joining Leeds United on a
permanent basis during the summer.
And he suggested that Jack Harrison returning to West
Yorkshire in the summer could have a big influence on whether or not the Whites
make a move to sign Solomon.
Bailey said: “I think Jack Harrison will be back at Leeds in
the summer, so Solomon will be one for the summer. He will dictate that, if he
plays a leading part in promotion there’s a fair chance Leeds sign him. It’s on
him.”
There’s no doubt that Solomon returning on a permanent basis
would be a great signing, as his form in recent week has shown. First off,
though, Leeds have to secure promotion if they’re to stand a chance of signing
Solomon.
