Leeds United notebook — Largie Ramazani states ‘ambition’ with loanee set for final hurrah — Leeds Live 29/4/26
Ramazani has been in good form for Valencia during the second half of this season

Largie Ramazani has enjoyed a fruitful 2026 with Valencia,
with Leeds United loanee finally finding his feet under Carlos Corberan.
The winger has scored six goals in his last 12 La Liga
matches, having started the last 10. Ramazani scored the opening goal in
Saturday’s 2-1 win over Girona as Valencia edge their way towards relegation
safety, now five points clear with five games to play.
The Belgian was loaned to the Spanish club for the season
having fallen down the pecking order under Daniel Farke, who left him out of
the squad entirely for the August trip to Arsenal. The board still values
Ramazani, and were keen not to include a buy-out option in his loan deal.
Ramazani is contracted to Leeds until 2028 but where he fits
in Farke’s long term plans is unclear. And reports in Spain suggest Valencia
would be willing to acquire the 25-year-old permanently.
Asked about his future by El Desmarque this week, Ramazani
replied: “We’ll do the analysis at the end of the season, and I’m going to
continue as I have been. I’m ambitious and I’m going to work until the end of
the season.”
Loanee set for final game
Harry Gray is due to play his final game for loan club
Rotherham United away at Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday as the EFL regular
season draws to a close. Rotherham’s relegation to League Two was confirmed
earlier this month, but Gray will have learned a lot from his spell.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed his first prolonged stint in
senior football, scoring three times in 19 matches, having started each one
despite a change of manager. Gray has played in a variety of positions too,
including left wing and supporting striker as well as his natural
centre-forward role.
Meanwhile, Joe Gelhardt, who has also shown his versatility,
will hope Saturday is not his final game for Hull City this season. The Tigers
are on the cusp of a play-off place albeit have slipped out of the top six
heading into the final weekend.
Hull host ninth-place Norwich City, who now cannot get a
play-off spot, and will need to beat them by a goal more than Wrexham, in
sixth, beat Middlesbrough - who are chasing the last automatic spot.
Both Hull and Wrexham sit on 70 points, with the latter one
ahead on goal difference but one behind in goals scored. Regardless of how the
season goes, Hull are keen to acquire Gelhardt - who has 14 goals and five
assists this season - permanently this summer.
Wober finally breaks his duck
Max Wober has endured a torrid time with injury at Werder
Bremen. He had not played a single Bundesliga game after sustaining a hamstring
injury back in August, playing just 79 minutes of a cup game upon joining on
loan.
However, he finally made his first league appearance of the
season in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Stuttgart, coming on for the final 25 minutes.
Wober will certainly return to Leeds this summer given the season he has had.
The Austrian does have a purchase clause in his loan deal
but Bremen are not expected to trigger it. The 28-year-old has one year left on
his contract once he arrives back at Thorp Arch.
