Leeds United Star Signs Birmingham City Contract, Seals Blues Move - Inside Futbol 1/9/23

Leeds United full-back Cody Drameh has put pen to paper to a loan deal at Birmingham City, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Drameh has been looking to leave Leeds this summer amid concerns over the amount of playing time he would receive.

And Leeds’ capture of Djed Spence on loan from Tottenham Hotspur firmly opened the door to Drameh’s departure.

He is heading for Birmingham and has now signed a contract with Blues to cover a season-long loan.

It is claimed that Birmingham’s new owners and Tom Brady were key forces behind the deal happening.

Drameh has had two impressive loan spells away from Leeds, at Cardiff City and Luton Town.

Blues will be hoping to see him quickly find his feet at St Andrew’s and contribute towards a good campaign for the club.

It is unclear if there is any option contained within the loan agreement for Birmingham to sign him permanently.
