Mateusz Klich has responded to his former Leeds United
teammate Stuart Dallas, who returned to training with the first team at Thorp
Arch after a lengthy spell out with a fractured femur.
Dallas has been out for well over a year after fracturing
his lower leg in April 2022, but returned to full training with his teammates
on 21 September, as shared by The Athletic journalist Phil Hay.
He was sent messages on Instagram from teammates Luke Ayling
and Karl Darlow, as well as a number of former teammates including Adam
Forshaw, Joel Robles and Klich, as they rushed to wish him the best and salute
his recovery.
Dallas took to Instagram to share an image of him in
training alongside the caption: “All in good time” with an hourglass emoji, a smiley
face and a blue and yellow heart to represent Leeds United.
In the replies, Klich wrote: “Let’s go,” alongside a
heart-eye emoji, while Ayling claimed “It’s great to see” and Forshaw responded
in turn with “Great to see mate” and two strong arm emojis.
Dallas is a hero at Elland Road and it will be music to the
ears of everybody associated with the club that he has returned to proper
training, despite still being weeks away from a proper return, as there is now
light at the end of the tunnel in terms of his recovery.
Dallas is clearly well-liked and well-respected amongst his
teammates both past and present, and it showed the impact he has made off the
pitch during his time at Elland Road and how happy everybody is to see him back
closing in on a return to the side.
An exact return date has not been mentioned as the club look
to avoid putting pressure on his return given the severity of the injury he had
suffered, although it now seems like it could be sooner rather than later.
