Leeds now want to sign 24-year-old who scored nine goals in top Euro league last season - Leeds United News 1/9/23

Leeds United are interested in a move for AZ Alkmaar
attacker Jens Odgaard.
That is according to Danish outlet BT, who report Leeds and
Werder Bremen are both ‘lurking’ with Bologna currently in pole position for
his signature.
It is said that Bologna are currently the only side in talks
with AZ over a potential move for the 24-year-old, who only moved to the
Eredivisie last summer.
Odgaard, who is primarily a right-winger that can also play
as a central attacker, scored nine goals in 29 league appearances during his
debut campaign in the Netherlands.
He also netted a further three goals in other competitions
including the Europa Conference League, while also providing six assists.
At this stage it remains unclear as to whether Leeds will do
any more business after completing the signings of Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev
yesterday.
However, this interest does show Leeds will be alert to any
potential opportunities in the final few hours of the window, particularly if
Luis Sinisterra moves on.
Leeds clearly are on the lookout for new attackers having
come close to signing both Nadiem Amiri and Joseph Paintsil last week.
Another player who can play centrally in that front four
would be huge for Daniel Farke’s squad, who has previously mentioned creativity
as something he would like to add.
It certainly shapes up to be an interesting final day of the
window, and if Leeds can add to what they have already got, it will have been a
highly successful summer.
