Daniel Farke reveals secret behind Championship titles - Pink Un 20/9/23
By Samuel Seaman
Former Norwich City head coach Daniel Farke has urged his
Leeds United side to disregard the Championship table as they attempt to plot a
route to promotion.
The German inherited a side in disarray as they navigated
the fallout of a Premier League relegation, with a number of players keen to
leave the club and results poor at the start of the season.
Farke's whites have begun to turn things around at Elland
Road, however, with impressive wins over Millwall and Ipswich Town contributing
to a four-game unbeaten run in the league.
Leeds remain 12th in the second division after that poor
start, however, nine points short of the automatic promotion spots.
But the former Borussia Monchengladbach boss is using one of
his key principles from Carrow Road to tackle that problem, as he revealed in
his latest pre-match press conference.
“The key at Norwich was that we were never obsessed with the
table," he said. "The table will care for itself, we concentrate on
every game.
“The secret behind [my success at Norwich] was that we were
just concentrating on the next game. That will be our target, and how I will
lead this group (at Leeds).
"I want to be the best possible coach for this club. I
try to make the best for this club. Once I overtake a project, I have to be
there 100%. If not, I wouldn’t take on a task.
"I work for such a great club with unbelievable support
and size."
