Marching On Together 31/7/21 Kristoffer Klaesson completes Leeds medical
By Mark Smith
Kristoffer Klaesson has completed his medical at Leeds
United ahead of completing his move to Elland Road this week
That’s according to LUFC FANZONE, who have shared that he
will put pen-to-paper on a five-year contract with the Whites.
Klaesson will go straight into the first-team and provide
competition for Illan Meslier by replacing Kiko Casilla.
Sharing the news on their personal Instagram account on
Friday evening, it appears as though Klaesson will be announced this weekend.
“Kristoffer Klaesson (20) has undergone a medical in Leeds
this afternoon and is set to sign a five-year deal at Leeds,” they wrote.
Done deal.
This was a deal that was supposed to be confirmed on Friday,
but the medical and media duties are likely to have pushed that back.
It is likely that the move will be confirmed on social media
channels at some point today, and unleash Victor Orta onto other targets.
With the game against Real Betis at Loughborough this
afternoon, Klaesson won’t be involved, or maybe even present after completing
his quarantine.
Ajax and Villareal are our final two and biggest games of
the pre-season before the trip to Manchester United in two weeks.
Klaesson may get his debut in one of those, but it would be
no surprise if Marcelo Bielsa makes him wait until the Carabao Cup – he doesn’t
just hand out starts – even in friendlies.
Another deal has been all but complete, and then we can move
on to our midfield and attacking targets in this final month.
