Scotland striker Ross McCormack is the latest player to pull out of Gordon Strachan’s squad for Tuesday’s friendly in Norway, the player has confirmed on his Twitter account.
The Leeds striker was a late substitute against the United States on Friday night but will now return to his club after suffering a hamstring injury.
McCormack tweeted: “Heading back to Leeds having had to pull out the scotland squad. Typical!!
“Just need another 24 hours for this to settle. I’ll be fit for boro (Middlesbrough, Leeds’ next fixture) 100%. And can’t wait for it.”
The official Leeds United Twitter feed also confirmed the player’s withdrawal, adding: “ Ross McCormack has withdrawn from the Scotland squad and is returning to #lufc for treatment on a slight hamstring injury.”
