Goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.
The former Portsmouth man has undergone surgery on the toe injury that has ruled him out of the season so far.
Jamie hasn’t figured on the bench since the end of last season – his last appearance was in the FA Cup defeat at Man City in February – and Alex Cairns will continue to deputise.
Scott Wotton is also undergoing treatment for an ankle injury sustained when he slipped on the surface while making a challenge at Charlton last weekend and is facing a battle to be fit for the Middlesbrough game, but boss Brian McDermott says he is hopeful Alex Mowatt will be fit for the Elland Road game on Saturday week.
Stephen Warnock is also likely to be back in contention for the visit of Boro.
