Brian McDermott is hoping for a repeat performance from the Elland Road faithful on Saturday.
United’s first Yorkshire derby takes place this Saturday when Sheffield Wednesday visit Elland Road for a lunchtime kick off (12:15pm).
The boss has issued a rallying call to the fans in the hope that you turn up in your numbers again to spur United onto another vital three Championship points.
The United boss was full of praise for the supporters after the Brighton and Hove Albion match and is hoping for more of the same on Saturday.
“We’re all looking forward to Saturday afternoon and to be back at Elland Road,” said the boss.
“We really hope that everyone that came to the Brighton match will be there again for the visit of Sheffield Wednesday.
“You were all fantastic at the Brighton game and your support really made the difference.
“And I know that your continued support at Elland Road will make the difference.
“You created a brilliant atmosphere on the opening day and there is one thing I know, it will keep the players going and they are all proud to wear the Leeds United shirt, which is important.”
