El-Hadji Diouf happy at Elland Road
BBC 19/8/13
Leeds United forward El-Hadji Diouf has insisted he is happy at the club after being linked with a move away.
The 32-year-old made his first appearance of the season on Saturday after suspension and a shin injury ruled him out of the first three games.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I don't know where all the talk about me leaving has come from.
"I'm happy here because the fans have always shown me a lot of love and it's a great club."
The Senegal international joined the Championship club at the start of last season and scored seven goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.
And he believes Leeds, who have taken five points from their opening three league matches of the new campaign, now have what it takes to compete at the top end of the table.
"I definitely think that we are going to finish in the top six," Diouf said.
"We've got the players and the manager is a winner who has got out of this division in the past, so why not again this season?"
