Leeds United earn more revenue than Italian giants AS Roma, Atalanta, SSC Napoli and Premier League rivals Newcastle United, according to the latest Football Money League report from Deloitte.

Deloitte, a global finance and analysis firm, have placed Leeds 23rd on the list after studying the relative financial performance of clubs across Europe.

The research has combined the 2019/20 and 2020/21 revenue information of top clubs and ranked them accordingly to "provide a more holistic perspective across the last two completed football seasons and financial years".

Leeds' calculated revenue figure sits at £192.7m putting them ahead of AS Roma, Atalanta, Southampton, Borussia VfL Mönchengladbach, SSC Napoli, Newcastle United and SS Lazio. Those clubs complete the top 30.

Manchester City top the rankings for the first time, becoming only the fourth club to do so. The top 10 is made up of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Juventus, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

A total of 10 English clubs are in the top 20, with Arsenal, Leicester City, Wolves, Everton and West Ham United all above Leeds in the list.

The research revealed how clubs on the Money League table missed out on "well over €2 billion of revenue" from the middle of the 2019-20 season to the end of the 2020-21 season, "effectively taking revenue back to levels nearly five years ago."

Deloitte expect previous levels to be surpassed in the coming seasons as fans have returned to stadia across Europe while it is estimated that Premier League clubs will begin to earn even more from broadcast revenue from next season.

Leeds United board break silence after transfer window with statement on upcoming Elland Road development — YEP 2/9/24

By Joe Donnohue Leeds United have confirmed supporters' commemorative stones at Elland Road's Centenary Square will be replaced free of charge in a bid to improve their longevity. Beginning next month, Leeds supporters' personalised stones will be replaced with exact replicas, courtesy of a new company, to ensure of a 'much better quality' installation. The work is expected to take around two months to complete. Leeds United transfer state of play as Whites knock back low bid and assert wing pair stance — YEP 3/7/24

By Graham Smyth Leeds United are not actively looking to cash in on Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto and believe any further outgoing transfer business will be done on their terms. The Whites, who sold Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday for £40m, expect that there will be continued interest in wing pair Summerville and Gnonto as the summer transfer window progresses. Summerville has been a target for Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion but their interest has not yet materialised into a bid. The Albion did, however, send a £30m proposal for Georginio Rutter, which Elland Road chiefs rejected. Rutter is not expected to try and force an exit this summer and appears settled at Leeds after a far more positive second season in English football.
