McDermott not keen on loan signings
With Leeds United boss Brian McDermott still struggling to add to his squad he says he doesn`t want to bring in loan players unless it is with the view to bring the player in on a permanent deal.
McDermott`s hands seem to be tied until he can offload players, having signed just three players so far this summer.
The Leeds boss released six players in the summer with first team experience last season but with time running out until the new season kicks off his thoughts might turn to the loan market, something he is not keen on.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, McDermott said, "I would consider it but it is not something I like doing.
"I would sign a loan player if there was a chance that we could sign him permanently.
"If you sign a player for six-months it can destabilise the squad. I like to have Leeds United players, so if it is a loan player with a view to a permanent deal, then that would be my ideal scenario."
