JAYDEN BOGLE: IT’S A MASSIVE CLUB AND OPPORTUNITY — Leeds united.com 20/7/24

Defender gives his thoughts on signing for the club.

Leeds United confirmed the arrival of Jayden Bogle, who joined the club on a four-year deal from fellow Sky Bet Championship side, Sheffield United.

The 23-year-old made the switch from South to West Yorkshire and will bolster Daniel Farke’s defence, with his experience and abilities on the right side.

After putting pen to paper at Elland Road, Bogle gave his thoughts to LUTV on signing, and told us more about himself as a player.

He said: “It’s amazing [to sign for Leeds]. It’s a great feeling, a massive club and a massive opportunity, I can’t wait to get going.

“I knew there was interest and since I heard it, this is where I wanted to be. As I said, it’s a massive club and opportunity, a fantastic team, great staff, so I am really excited.

“I am comfortable on the ball, I like to get forward and create chances, but be defensively solid and strong.

“I like to have good positioning too, and just be a big part of the team basically, to commit going forward and defensively as well.”

Bogle has played at Elland Road before and knows what to expect when walking out of the tunnel, but our latest signing is now looking forward to the crowd being with him, rather than against.

“I've played here before and the atmosphere before a game is crazy,” the defender explained.

“I can’t wait for that to be on my side now and fuel me going into games, I am really excited about it.

“Even looking at it now when it’s empty [during his interview with LUTV], it looks amazing, so I can’t imagine what it’s like when it is full.”

It’s also a league that he knows well as well, having made over 100 appearances at this level and also previously winning promotion from it.

“You have to be on it week in week out,” Jayden stated.

“There is big games all the time and it’s the type of league where bottom of the league can beat top of the league.

“So, you have to be at it and if not, you can get punished. The club is good in that sense because we’ll be approaching every game to win.

“Playing in big games always helps players, especially when you can try and play your best too, so I think that’s important.

“It’s what I’ve come to the club to do, to play my best and give my all for the club, to create some history together.”
