Leeds United: Whites target Juventus defender Sorensen

Yorkshire Evening Post 4/8/14
Leeds United are in advanced talks with Juventus about the signing of Denmark defender Frederik Sorensen.
United want to take Sorensen on loan from Turin before the Championship season starts on Saturday, securing an experienced partner for captain and centre-back Jason Pearce.
The Elland Road club are short of central defenders after allowing Tom Lees to join Sheffield Wednesday and failing with a £475,000 bid for Chesterfield youngster Liam Cooper.
But they are hopeful of finalising a deal for Sorensen, a 22-year-old who has been capped at various youth levels by Denmark.
Sorensen joined Juventus in 2010 but spent the past two seasons at Bologna as part of a co-ownership deal agreed between the two Italian sides.
United, who are on the verge of sealing the signing of midfielder Zan Benedicic on loan from AC Milan, want to secure an option to buy Sorensen next summer.
Juventus are coached by Massimiliano Allegri who previously managed Cagliari while United owner Massimo Cellino was in charge of the Sardinian club.
