Kieran Agard move from Rotherham to Leeds United collapses

Yorkshire Evening Post 15/8/14
Leeds United’s bid for Kieran Agard dramatically collapsed today after the club and the winger failed to agree personal terms.
Agard travelled to Leeds for talks this morning after Rotherham United accepted a bid last night but the move has fallen through.
The 24-year-old’s agent, Lee Payne of Full Contact, said discussions broke down with Leeds unwilling to raise their offer to Agard above a set level.
Payne told the YEP: “We just haven’t been able to agree personal terms.
“Leeds were hopeful of getting him signed in time to play (against Middlesbrough) tomorrow but they were keeping their offer within a budget and we couldn’t agree to it.”
United owner Massimo Cellino also confirmed that the deal was off and accused Agard of having a “bad attitude.”
Agard appeared to be on the verge of becoming United’s 11th summer signing today having missed training with Rotherham to meet with officials at Elland Road.
Leeds targeted Agard at the start of this week having scouted him regularly last season and Rotherham were open to the idea of selling him after he entered the final year of his contract and rejected the offer of an extension.
