Leeds United v Reading: Brian McDermott set to swing axe

Yorkshire Evening Post 11/3/14
BRIAN MCDERMOTT has confirmed that he will make changes for tonight’s clash with Reading in the wake of Saturday’s lamentable loss to Bolton Wanderers.
Full-back Sam Byram and Alex Mowatt are both pushing for starts after entering the fray at the weekend, while Jason Pearce is set to return after missing Saturday’s game due to the birth of his first child.
Veteran midfielder Michael Brown is also eyeing a first-team return.
Meanwhile, McDermott says that Paddy Kenny is on the rehabilitation trail following an ankle injury.
He said: “Paddy has been training with our goalkeeping coach (Andy Leaning) and at the moment, he is not kicking with his foot at all but just handling.
“But Jack (Butland) has done smashing; we conceded five goals on Saturday, but it wasn’t down to him.”
Reading midfielder Danny Williams (knee) and striker Pavel Pogrebnyak (ankle) face late fitness tests.
Kaspars Gorkss and Garath McCleary are both pushing for starts for the Royals.
