Transfer news: Leeds boss Brian McDermott hopes to sign two new players

Leeds manager Brian McDermott will seek approval from the club's owners to bring in at least two new players during the January transfer window.
A consortium headed by current managing director David Haigh is hoping to buy a reported 75% of the club's shares from owners GFH Capital in time to boost McDermott's promotion push.
"I've got a couple of ideas I'd like to put to the board and the time will obviously be in January, so that will be then," McDermott said.
Striker Dexter Blackstock's loan spell at Leeds has been cut short by a season-ending knee injury and his return to parent club Nottingham Forest has left a hole to fill.
Noel Hunt is expected to make a timely return to contention following a hamstring injury, but McDermott said he would have tried to keep hold of Blackstock for longer had it not been for his injury.
He added: "I would have kept him if I could, but it's not to be.
"Loved him as a fella, great lad. The lads loved him. He had an organised way with him. I thought he did well in the games, so I was very happy with him.
"We've got a lot of players that can play in that area. We've got players scoring goals, Ross (McCormack) is scoring every time he plays and it's great to see.
"So I definitely don't feel vulnerable in those areas. We've got a good group here."
