Leeds United are in talks with Bolton over a season-long loan for defender Matt Mills.
Bolton wanted £1m for Mills but are prepared to compromise so they can move defender’s salary off their wage bill.
The Elland Road club are also keen on Wolves striker Kevin Doyle.
The Irish hitman scored nine goals for Wolves last season but could not stop the Black Country side being relegated to League One.
