United's sell-off is over

Leeds United were today preparing to close the exit door at Elland Road as Danny Mills finalised a move to Manchester City.

The England international has lined up a three-year contract with Kevin Keegan's side and United chairman Gerald Krasner confirmed that his departure will complete the summer exodus from West Yorkshire.
Mills, who joined Middlesbrough on loan last season, has endured a frustrating summer with potential moves to the Riverside and Newcastle failing to materialise, but Keegan has stepped in to take the defender back to the Premiership.
Krasner said: "He will be the final major departure this summer.
"We're happy that we've got the wage bill down but it's still slightly higher than we would like. However, things have probably gone better than we had hoped for."
Mills was one of several high earners that Leeds could no longer afford to keep following the club's relegation from the top flight in May.
The full-back was believed to be earning around £40,000 a week at Elland Road, and United will contribute to Mills' wages at the City of Manchester Stadium after allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
Leeds have already parted company with Paul Robinson, Alan Smith and Mark Viduka among others, with Ian Harte leaving on Friday.
The string of out-goings has given manager Kevin Blackwell increased freedom in the transfer market, and West Brom midfielder Andy Johnson, pictured right, is the latest player to be linked with a switch to Elland Road.
Johnson - a crucial member of the Baggies' promotion-winning side last season - is understood to be one of a number of players interesting Blackwell, but his availability may depend on the success of West Brom's own recruitment drive.
Manager Gary Megson is reluctant to lose Johnson until he has strengthened his midfield ahead of the new Premiership campaign.
United, though, are close to adding to their squad again after launching a bid for an unnamed goalkeeper.
Youngster Scott Carson currently holds the number one jersey after Robinson's move to Tottenham, but Blackwell is anxious to secure an experienced keeper before the start of the season and is waiting for a response from his target.
The United boss confirmed: "At the moment I've got a bid in for somebody and I'm waiting to find out where we stand with that."
Birmingham's Ian Bennett has repeatedly been linked with United, who have travelled for the pre-season tour of Sweden with Carson as their only keeper.
