Fabrizio Romano says Leeds United are about to finally complete their fifth summer signing — Leeds United News 21/8/24

Leeds United are finally set to complete their fifth signing
of the summer after over a month of waiting.
The Whites‘ last incoming of the window was Jayden Bogle all
the way back in July and it has been a long and anxious wait since then, with
pressure mounting on the recruitment team.
Daniel Farke has repeatedly made it clear he wants four new
additions before next Friday’s deadline and cut a frustrated figure at the lack
of action in his press conference ahead of Sheffield Wednesday.
Farke even claimed it would be unlikely any new additions
would arrive before Friday’s trip to Hillsborough but it would appear that is
premature.
Attacking reinforcements has been the top priority since the
exits of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, and finally they look set
to have found one replacement.
Ever since Rutter’s exit, a plethora of attacking players
have been linked with a move to Elland Road, some way more realistic than
others.
Jack Clarke and Jonathan Rowe both look as though they will
be too expensive, with the latter all but confirmed as a new Marseille player.
As such, Leeds have decided to take a look into the foreign
market and according to Fabrizio Romano, they appear as though they have found
their man.
Romano has reported on Twitter this evening that Leeds have
agreed a deal to sign UD Almeria attacker Largie Ramazani, with medical tests
already booked.
It is said Leeds will pay a fee of just under £10 million,
which is certainly a significant investment at this level.
Whether he will be registered in the squad in time to face
Sheffield Wednesday remains to be seen, particularly given he has to travel
over from Spain.
Who is new Leeds signing Largie Ramazani?
Ramazani is an extremely versatile attacker who is
right-footed but primarily plays off the left hand side.
Having said that, Ramazani has also played plenty of matches
as a right-winger and central attacking midfielder, making his versatility an
attractive trait for Leeds.
Ramazani is a product of the Manchester United academy and
actually made one senior appearance for the Red Devils in the Europa League all
the way back in 2019.
Since then, the Belgian has developed really well at
Almeria, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists in 127 appearances. He got
scored three and assisted five as the Spanish side were relegated from La Liga
last season.
