Caretaker head coach Neil Redfearn says that the United squad need to remember that winning feeling and make sure it is a constant after matches.
After Saturday’s 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Elland Road the caretaker boss went on the say that the sky is the limit for his squad of players.
“I said to the lads after the game that the sky is the limit now,” said Redfearn. “They have got to remember the feeling after Saturday’s game.
“They have got to make sure that is the feeling after most games . They have got to make sure they have that feeling all of the time.
“It was a good performance . I thought it was quite a measured performance.
“I don’t think it was a typical blood and thunder local derby but we performance well. We passed the ball well.
“They got around our box a little easy at times in the first half and I thought that we counter-attacked really well.”
United’s three goalscorers were Rudy Austin, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara on Saturday but Redfearn reserved special praise for Italian striker Antenucci.
“I think Antenucci has been outstanding in the last couple of games,” added the caretaker boss.
“He has got energy and he runs in behind, he takes people on and he has a great touch. His first touch is always taking it away from people and he can finish.
“If you stick him in front of goal he can finish.”
