Leeds United: Matt Smith joins Fulham

Leeds United have sold Matt Smith to Fulham in a deal completed minutes before transfer deadline.
The 25-year-old forward put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with FIFA’s summer window about to shut at 11pm.
Fulham are understood to have paid in excess of £750,000 to secure Smith’s signature just two weeks after the striker signed a new three-year contract at Elland Road. Smith committed his future to Leeds on the back of an unsuccessful bid for him from Millwall but Leeds have signed a number of new strikers and Smith started only one league game this season.
The transfer to London reunites Smith with ex-Leeds captain Ross McCormack who joined Fulham in a £10.75m deal in July.
Smith joined Leeds on a free transfer from Oldham Athletic last summer and scored 13 goals in his one and only campaign at Elland Road.
