Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has confirmed that the Yorkshire outfit are set to agree a two-year deal with now-former Sturm Graz manager Darko Milanic to become the new head coach of the first-team.
Milanic was initially linked with the job early in last week as the man to replace Dave Hockaday who was only in the job at Leeds for 70 days before being sacked by the flamboyant Italian owner.
Cellino was also rumoured to be interested in bringing in former Argentina head coach Alejandro Sabella as his new manager, but the World Cup finalist proved out of reach, so the Leeds supremo has turned to the Slovenian Milanic who flew into England today to complete a deal.
It was believed that Cellino was after a man willing to become the head coach rather than the manager as the Italian owner would like to have a large say in team selection and transfers and it appears that Milanic is happy to abide with those guidelines.
