Leeds United are set to make a summer move for Southend goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, according to HITC Sport.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper is highly-rated at Roots Hall and is set to be offloaded to a bigger club in the summer.
Leeds are expected to move for a goalkeeper in the summer, with Jack Butland returning to his parent club, and former number one Paddy Kenny set to move away from the Elland Road outfit.
With Cellino now in charge of the Yorkshire club, funds will be available to sign players in the summer. Bentley is high on the list of manager Brian McDermott, and Bentley may leave Southend if the right offer comes in for him.
The Sky Sports Scout has tipped Bentley to become a future star and said he has a potential worth of £10 million.
‘A huge talent, sure, there may be a couple of rough edges, but this boy is destined for big things,’ said the scout.
‘Southend will probably only get one full season out of him – if they are lucky.
