Elland Road set to welcome new owners...
PUBLISHED 11 APRIL 2014 AT 10:05 Elland Road is preparing to usher in a new era on Saturday after the Football League confirmed there would be no further opposition to Massimo Cellino’s right to take up his role as a director of Leeds United.
Eleonora Sport Limited have completed their acquisition of 75% of the club, and manager Brian McDermott says Saturday’s visit of Blackpool will be a significant day for the club.
“The big thing is that the ownership is now settled and we have clarity,” said the boss.
“We have the stability we needed. This is a new chapter. Massimo has come in and we have a blank sheet. It’s a new start.
“We're not talking about ownership anymore, now it's done and dusted. Football is the only thing we can talk about now.
“Massimo said after the game on Tuesday that Watford were a team in front of us and that was a fact. We have to get to that level and beyond.
“We have to finish as strong as we can. The players are playing for their future. No one has chucked the towel in, and we need to get the crowd onside and play well.”
