Stephen Warnock The club have completed the signing of Stephen Warnock from Aston Villa.
The 31-year-old joins us on a permanent basis from the Premier League club after the terms of the deal were finalised on Thursday evening.
The experienced defender completed his medical at Thorp Arch and will meet his new team-mates for the first time on Friday.
United boss Neil Warnock said: "I'm absolutely delighted again. Stephen has the experience I think we need in that position.
"He is a former international who, for whatever reason, has been allowed to leave Aston Villa.
"He's a player I've tried to sign a few times before and I'm pleased he turned down West Ham to come here."
Stephen arrives at the club having made over 200 Premier League appearances during spells with Liverpool Blackburn, and Aston Villa.
Born in Ormskirk, Stephen started his career at Liverpool and cost Blackburn £1.5m in January 2007. He joined Villa two years later and made 104 appearances for the club. This term he spent almost three months on loan at Bolton, where he made 15 appearances.
