Neil Warnock on transfer moves...
United boss Neil Warnock is expecting to welcome a new signing into the ranks before the weekend trip to Barnsley.
The boss says constant enquiries are being made, and one deal is on the verge of completion, but is staying tight-lipped as to who his targets are.
"We're being asked all the time, but until there's something concrete we're not saying anything," said the boss. "That's the way it's got to be this month.
"There's names being thrown about left, right, and centre, and there's names in the newspapers I've never even thought of enquiring about and wouldn't do either.
"It's a difficult month for managers because you're fending off enquiries all the time, but we are working very, very hard behind the scenes. We're trying to bring players in who are better than what we have.
"We are making enquiries and getting our agenda ready for the next few weeks. We've put forward some offers and it'd be nice to think we could get one in the by the weekend."
