Norwich City striker Morison in Leeds United link

Norwich City striker Steve Morison has emerged as a possible target for Leeds United with the forward seemingly edging towards the exit door at Carrow Road.
Leeds and Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers are being linked with the former Millwall forward whose position at Norwich is under threat due to the club’s interest in Swansea City striker Danny Graham and Celtic’s Gary Hooper.
United manager Neil Warnock is pursuing a new goalscorer and initial interest in Dexter Blackstock – a player approaching the end of his contract at Nottingham Forest – is likely to come to nothing with Forest intent on retaining Blackstock beyond the end of the January transfer window.
Morison, 29, cost Norwich £2.8million in the summer of 2011, joining the Canaries shortly after their promotion to the Premier League. He caught the eye during two previous seasons at Millwall and has played more than 50 times in the top flight but most of his appearances this season have come as a substitute and Norwich are actively seeking additional strikers. Graham and Hooper are both on their radar.
Warnock’s own hunt for an extra attacking player comes at a time of lingering doubt about the future of his leading goalscorer, Luciano Becchio.
Becchio was in line to return to United’s line-up against Bristol City today after overcoming a virus but Warnock admitted earlier this week that Leeds would have to “see what his head’s like” following suggestions that the Argentinian was being distracted by talk of a move elsewhere.
Meanwhile, United have slashed ticket prices for next month’s home games against Championship rivals Peterborough United and Blackpool. Prices for the back-to-back fixtures on February 16 and February 19 respectively start from £15 for adults and £5 for children.
