Leeds United rounded off their pre-season campaign with a commanding 4-0 win at home to FC Augsburg on Saturday. An action-packed first-half brought goals from Anton Stach, Tarik Muharemovic and James Justin with substitute Lukas Nmecha netting a fourth late on. Brenden Aaronson was on the scoresheet for Leeds but missed penalties from Harry Wilson and James Justin proved costly. It was just a second pre-season defeat for Daniel Farke’s side. James Trafford was handed an unofficial debut at the sold out Croke Park as one of six changes from RB Leipzig on Saturday. The goalkeeper, Rhys Chadwick, Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka, Aaronson and Lukas Nmecha replaced Alex Cairns, Justin, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Wilson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Leeds United continued their impressive summer with not one but two wins against Saturday’s visitors RB Leipzig. Fresh from victories against Sunderland and Liverpool in America, Daniel Farke’s Whites took on Champions League-qualified Bundesliga outfit Leipzig at Elland Road in a marathon 120-minutes of pre-season football.
