Statement as Leeds United confirm second huge contract boost ahead of Nottingham Forest trip — YEP 20/8/26

Another key Leeds United squad member has put pen to paper on a new contract.

Leeds United full-back Jayden Bogle has signed a new four-year contract with the club.

Bogle becomes the second Leeds player inside 24 hours to pen fresh terms, with Joe Rodon also putting pen to paper on a four-year deal on Wednesday evening. The pair will continue to play alongside one another at Elland Road until 2030.

Leeds signed Bogle for £5million from Sheffield United in 2024 and the defender made an instant impact with 44 league appearances for Daniel Farke’s 100-point, title-winning side. The 26-year-old registered six goals and four assists to earn a place in the Championship Team of the Season and the PFA Team of the Year.

Bogle thrived with the attacking freedom of a wing-back role in the Premier League last season and proved himself a top-flight defender. Leeds say they are ‘proud’ to see the right-back extend his stay at the club in another boost ahead of Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

A club statement said: “Leeds United are thrilled to announce Jayden Bogle has agreed a new deal with the club that will keep him at Elland Road until 2030. The marauding right-back has excelled in the famous white shirt after making the move from Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United in 2024, whilst off the field, Jayden has regularly engaged with the work of the Leeds United Foundation and displayed great professionalism around Elland Road, Thorp Arch and beyond.

“In his first campaign with the club, the defender scored six goals and registered five assists in 44 Sky Bet Championship appearances in an impressive campaign, helping Daniel Farke’s side to the league title on a memorable final day. Having lifted the trophy together as a team, individual accolades then followed, as Jayden’s performances earned him places in the EFL Championship Team of the Season and the PFA Team of the Year.

“Last season, with United returning to the Premier League, the now 26-year-old was again impressive, featuring 39 times in all competitions and scoring two goals. Bogle was a consistent performer in a defensive unit which kept nine clean sheets in all competitions, whilst also offering plenty of attacking threat as well.

“Capable of playing in multiple formations, whether that is as an attacking wing-back or even further up the pitch, Bogle’s versatility and adaptability has made him an almost ever-present under Farke. Having returned from his summer break, Jayden has continued to impress during the club’s summer preparations ahead of the new campaign, in each of the friendly matches he has played in.

“Everyone at Leeds United is proud to see the defender extend his stay with us and we look forward to seeing him in action this upcoming campaign, beginning with our opening day clash against Nottingham Forest.”
