Guardiola's classy Dallas touch, Phillips can't resist and Leeds United moments missed - Leeds Live 6/5/23
Leeds United lost 2-1 to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium
in the Premier League on Saturday and here are some of the moments you may have
missed

Old friends reunited
Leeds United’s new coach Robbie Keane was the first person
to be seen mixing with old comrades. As he was heading towards the end of his
career, Kyle Walker was at the start of his when they shared a dressing room at
Tottenham Hotspur.
That pair were seen laughing and joking together in the
bowels of Etihad Stadium after their arrival. There would be a similar moment
as the warm-ups got underway between Rasmus Kristensen and Erling Haaland.
The former Red Bull Salzburg team-mates shared an embrace
and a brief chat before getting on with their drills and exercises.
Morale officers
Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Tyler Adams, injured and
unavailable, were with the travelling party on Saturday. While captain Cooper
was there to gee up some of the younger faces after arrival, Adams showed a
little spring in his step as he jogged onto the pitch briefly.
Phillips can’t resist
There would also be a little reminder of Kalvin Phillips’s
closeness with the Leeds group. As the Wortley export trundled towards the
tunnel at the end of the warm-ups, there would be a playful shove in his back
from Luke Ayling.
Phillips gave it back and then Sam Greenwood piled in too.
Then, at the end of the game, Phillips could not resist going over to the away
end for a blown kiss and some applause.
Guardiola checks in
Pep Guardiola is too intelligent and aware of his matches to
forget what happened to Dallas last season. The Northern Ireland international
broke his femur after a collision with Jack Grealish at home to Manchester City
last season.
The City boss was spotted chatting with Dallas in front of the dugouts before the warm-ups got underway on Saturday. The assumption is the injury and Dallas's recovery must have come up.
