Pascal Struijk has signed a new contract committing him to Leeds United until 2027.

Struijk, 23, has been a first-team regular for both Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch since his move to the club from Ajax in 2018.

The Premier League club said in a statement on Wednesday: “Leeds United are pleased to announce Pascal Struijk has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

“A regular in Jesse Marsch’s starting line-up, the 23-year-old has now extended his contract until the summer of 2027, adding a further four-and-a-half years to his current deal.

“The club are pleased to have secured Pascal’s future, meaning he will continue to help the side throughout the rest of this season, when it gets back underway after Christmas, and then over the coming years at Elland Road.”

Struijk has made 13 Premier League appearances for Leeds this season, scoring one goal.

He was also called up to the provisional Netherlands squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
