GFH executives pass Football League test
BBC 8/12/12
GFH Capital's takeover of Leeds United has moved a step closer to completion after two executives received approval from the Football League.
Hisham Alrayes and Salem Patel, who are due to become directors at Elland Road, have satisfied the requirements of the league's owners and directors test.
The Middle East-based equity company finalised a deal to take control of the Championship club last month.
Leeds lost 3-1 at Derby on Saturday, leaving them 14th in the table.
Once the takeover is completed, GFH Capital will become the 100% shareholder of the club.
They have been financially supporting Leeds since entering into an exclusivity period to conclude negotiations about their proposed investment.
Current owner Ken Bates will remain as chairman until the end of the season, when he will become president.
